This Blog pertains to Gentlemen Cadets (GCs) who attended their pre-commission training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun  (IMA)  and were commissioned as officers on 15 June 1966. The GCs were ex 28 NDA (National Defence Academy), 37 IMA DE (Direct Entry) / 21 Tech (Technical Graduates) / 23 NCC (National Cadet Corps)/ 7 OTU (Officers’ Training Unit).

COURSE STATISTICS

CMs often ask ‘How many?’ …

 So, after having provided the statistics a few times in the past, here I am again, with two tables, one each for NDA and IMA/21TECH, placed below.

 For 28 NDA: As stated earlier, the data, which is available at http://28nda.blogspot.com/ , contains all those who did at least one term with 28th, hence the Grand Total is 415.

PHOTO COVERAGE - GJC JUN-16

The GJC 37 IMA, 21 Teck and OTU courses which passed out on 15th June 1966 from Indian Military Academy was held as scheduled. Some of us could not attend for some reason or the other, however we share the photos of the events.
The photo coverage done by the photographer is placed here for posterity sake. It contains hundreds of photos taken during various functions.

The photographs have been directly copied from the DVD as per folders 1 to 5 as under. The slide show will run as it is, however those interest in viewing the entire folder or for downloading any picture may use the OPEN HERE link to access the photo folders.

37^TH IMA COURSE GOLDEN JUBILEE REUNION (14 - 16 JUNE 2016)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.        The 37^th IMA Course will commemorate its ‘passing out’ and commissioning at a Golden Jubilee Reunion (GJR) to be held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun (Uttarakhand), from 14 June (Tuesday) to 16 June (Thursday) 2016.

Eligibility to Attend

2.                 Officers, their spouses and spouses of deceased officers commissioned with 37^th Course IMA will be eligible to attend the Reunion. This includes 28^th ex NDA, 20 NCC, 7 OTU, 37 Regular (NCC ‘C’ Certificate), 37 Regular (TA Officers) and 21 Technical Graduate Course. Other guests and / or children are not permitted by IMA.

50 YERAS OF PASSING OUT FROM IMA

WE PASSED OUT ON 15TH JUNE 1966 WHEN THE YOUNG BOYS TURNED INTO ARMY OFFICERS.
WE GET BACK TO OUR ALMA MATER AFTER 50 YEARS NOW AS VETERANS AND GET TOGETHER FROM 14 TO 16 JUNE 2016.
